Hows the weather where you are? I think its fair to say its flippin' freezing.
I had planned to meet up with a friend on Saturday evening for a lovely pub dinner and a good old catch up however the weather had other plans for me. There was a few inches of snow outside my door but being the eternal optimist I figured if I could just get my car out of the side streets then the main roads would be fine, how wrong I was! I never made it out of second gear and after passing an ambulance car that had mistaken a building for a bit of road and reduced its overall length by a good foot or two I decided the safest option was to turn around and head for the safety of home.
I was not a happy bunny, especially as the friend I was meeting had placed an order for a photo frame which I was taking with me, hopefully the weather will subside soon else I may have to post it to her.
Anyway, wherever you are and whatever the weather, stay warm, stay safe, be lucky and make sure you pop over to Wendy's
Handmade Monday too.
Until next time,
Jem

Safest place to be is tucked up at home. Hope you get to see your friend soon x
ReplyDeleteOh do be careful Jem, we are hoping to venture out today but just looking at the cars doing an impersonation of hippos on ice think may leave until later.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture frame and sure your friend will love it when she gets it. Stay safe
Lovely picture frame. I had a similar experience on saturday evening. Was s'posed tp be at a party, but decided the roads were too bad
ReplyDeleteA very pretty picture frame - I know your friend will be so pleased with it. Certainly weather for thinking twice before venturing out - let's hope it doesn't last for much longer. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteIt was better not to risk going out. Lovely and sunny here in Scotland :0P
ReplyDeleteYikes, are all those penguins in your garden?!?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it's horrible when the weather's so bad - stay indoors! Love the frame x
Me and OH had to venture out last night and although the main roads were not too bad the side roads were a bit tricky so if you don't need to go out you are best staying put.
ReplyDeleteYour frame is lovely, the flowers are sweet.
Thank you for popping over and leaving the nice comments on my blog. :)

That sounds bad - hope it's better now and you can keep warm and safe. All our snow has turned to slush and fog now - ugg!

Aaaw those penguins look like they're having fun! What a shame you didn't get to go out and see your friend. I didn't go anywhere Sat either, my friend came to me! Brrrrr! Hopefully she will get hewr frame soon which looks lovely by the way. And I'm sure she would rather you stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week
Oh, that's too bad that you had to miss dinner with your friend! Still, better safe than sorry. We haven't had snow (obviously that would be HUGE news here in South Florida). But rain rain rain, and lots of it today. That frame is so cute. I'm sure she will be thrilled when she gets it.
ReplyDeleteBetter to be safe Jem. We didn't get any snow but it is really icy and slippy - and freezing! Roll on Summer Mich :)
ReplyDeleteAwh penguins!My favourite animals.Love the frame-it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't make the dinner with your friend and I hope the weather subsides and the picture frame makes it to her soon! Jo
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame you had to cancel your dinner with your friend because of that damn snow - still, better safe than sorry! I am so cold that I am not wanting to leave the radiator under my desk - a good excuse to keep crafting!
ReplyDeleteLovely frame by the way!
